EBE sensors+motion is now launching an Evaluation Kit for level sensors that not only excels by its precision but also by its user-friendliness. It is designed to allow users without sound technical knowledge to achieve valid measurement results in a quick and easy way.
The core of the kit is software that has been customized to make the use of the level sensor as intuitive as possible. The installation is made in few steps: After downloading the control software from the EBE homepage and connecting the sensor via the interace enclosed, the user can start right away. Further equipment, interfaces or software for data evaluation are not required. This accessibility is of particular advantage for users who wish to familiarize themselves with the function of the sensor in a quick and efficient way. By using the Evaluation Kit, the connection and communication with the level sensor becomes a piece of cake.
Intuitive Software Meets Powerful Hardware
The graphic user interface of the software provides a detailed description of the measurement values collected via the sensor. Features such as zoom and motion functions of the graph allow users to view and analyze the data more closely. An overview of all relevant information on the sensor is always available and facilitates the evaluation of the sensor performance. A further function is the option to easily record measured values and save them in common formats such as .csv or .xls. This allows for efficient further processing and analysis of the data which is of particularly great use for electronics designers.
Adaptation at the Push of a Button
The software allows users to independently configure the sensor for the usage with PWM (pulse width modulation). The limits of the measuring range can be set individually to ideally adapt the sensor to the respective requirements. During the configuration of the PWM limit values the software provides assistance which significantly facilitates the process. After that, the sensor can be directly integrated into the customer system via the customized PWM interface. In addition, all sensors also provide a standard I2C interface.
